Our history
Formerly Thorngrove, our Caravan and Camping Park was established in 1992. The park was originally developed by the charity Scope and was built to include facilities for the disabled. The Caravan Holiday homes were added a little over 4 years ago and the new Pine Chalets were set up in 2005. The 15 acres of surrounding fields are being transformed from sheep pasture into a wonderful nature park.
Adjacent to the park, Thorngrove house was owned by Scope and before them it was a Doctor Barnados home. During the world war 2 years the house was used to billet commissioned officers of the United States Air Force. The house was originally built for members of the Nobility.
